Whoever wins, We lose

That time of the year has once again dawned upon our lives. The period where we would probably feel most patriotic - I am referring to National Day. For 39 years, our nation is very young. As our nation progresses, our standard of living inevitably follows suit.

What a day - We managed to catch 4 movies today, but only spent $8.50. How is that possible? Well I paid $8.50 for the movie i-Robot. The rest of them: Naked Ambition, The Whole 10 yards, and Along Came Polly, was on DVD. How on earth did movie tickets cost $8.50? What happened to the good old days $5.50? I'm not being a scrooge but the inflation puts a strain on the pockets. I'm probably complaining because of this bad financial period of mine. Everything would have been fine if we received our last allowance from the SAF, but that didn't happen, we were "retrenched" a month before our actual ORD.

I'm probably out of point here - It would seem that I have digressed from my introduction, and I probably have. The focus is the last sentence of my introduction. Okay, so I'm a grumpy old bloke trying to make a lot of points. Yes, it's been difficult to survive without being financially equipped, but I managed to - Not without help. I am grateful. Oh! Alien vs Predator is coming soon. Maybe I can use my movie vouchers for that one.
