And it's not even my wedding..
Went to Weichoon's sister's wedding dinner last night - Was a last minute thing. One of those traditional Chinese wedding dinner but they served red wine - Guess it wasn't so traditional after all. Anyway the food was marvelous. What's there not to like about wedding dinners? Gathering around a round table with a bunch of old friends, having a meal while reminiscing the past. Can't help but feel we're entering a whole new phase in life.
Anyway we had a wee bit to much to drink. Okay fine, I had a wee bit too much to drink. Damm red wine. The race to maintain the high always leaves me craving for more, and eventually tipping the balance of what should be enough. I think the most hilarious moment last night was when Alex brought the Cognac bottle over to our table. There wasn't much left, but in a folly attempt to salvage whatever morsel remaining, I overturned the bottle and tried to pour out the contents. As the waitress walked over to clear the table, I tried to look as normal as I could, holding the bottle in that absurd position. It soon hit me that my pretence was failing when the waitress went in mandarin, "Erm, would you like me to clear the bottle?"
We had a little bit more to drink when the groom invited us to the room. Following that, the couple suggested that we went back to their new home at Punggol to continue the session. The journey there was arduous - Had to refrain from vomiting in the vehicle. The intended party at the home soon turned to a pukefest - The car ride was the catalyst. Went about my SMS spree again and started messaging to the wrong people. I fell asleep, at the corner of the room, just as Alex predicted it - Or did he instigate it. haha.. damm it was fun.
